Chattahoochee Nature Reserve

In addition to a trip to the Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville and the Botanical Gardens, we also checked off a visit to the Chattahoochee Nature Reserve during our mini "staycation" at the end of July. The nature reserve has several nature walks and trails including one along the river and several exhibits and educational programs. We also got to visit their butterfly habitat and sit in on a presentation about snakes.

This picture of Adelaide with a butterfly absolutely cracks me up. It's so Adelaide and I just love her little face.

It was a nice little visit to a local site. I'm always excited to see new things and places around Atlanta. I've come to really love the Chattahoochee River and its surrounding environments.

Gratitude Countdown: Day 5

I'm a little late in posting this one...had a bit of a hard time finding something to write about, I suppose. Korea is an incredibly beautiful country. I miss Korea quite a bit, especially when my friends post pictures of their adventures there.

But as Zara and I were out for a walk today on this gorgeous fall day, I looked up and saw the Wasatch mountains and thought, "Utah is a beautiful place too." And I'm so happy that I get to live in beautiful places and be constantly reminded of the beauty of this Earth and to be grateful for all that is around me.
